Angular contact ball bearings are suitable for applications bearing both radial and axial loads simultaneously, can also be used for pure axial loads, and can operate at higher speeds. The axial load capacity varies with the contact angle — the larger the contact angle, the greater the axial load capacity.
Balls contact inner and outer rings at 15°, 25°, or 40° contact angles. Larger contact angles provide greater axial load capacity; smaller angles favor high-speed rotation. Single-row angular contact ball bearings bear radial loads and unidirectional axial loads; paired installations include back-to-back, face-to-face, and tandem arrangements. Double-row angular contact ball bearings have good rigidity and can bear bidirectional axial loads and tilting moments.
Classified by axial load as C-type, AC-type, B-type structures. Low friction coefficient, high limiting speed, high manufacturing precision, suitable for various high-speed precision rotating applications.
Widely used in machine tool spindles, high-frequency motors, gas turbines, centrifugal separators, small car front wheels, differential pinion shafts, oil pumps, fans, air compressors, various transmissions, fuel injection pumps, and printing machinery.
