Deep groove ball bearings are the most common type of rolling bearings, consisting of an outer ring, an inner ring, a set of steel balls, and a cage. As non-separable bearings, they feature simple structure, ease of use, and are the most widely produced and applied bearing type.
Deep groove ball bearings come in single-row and double-row types, with sealed and open structures. Open type has no sealing structure; sealed types include dust-proof seals and oil-proof seals. Dust-proof seal covers are made of stamped steel plates to prevent dust from entering the raceway; oil-proof types use contact seals to effectively prevent grease leakage.
Primarily bears radial loads, can also simultaneously bear radial and axial loads. With larger radial clearance, it performs like angular contact bearings and can bear significant axial loads. Very low friction coefficient and high limiting speed, particularly suitable for high-speed operating conditions, but not suitable for heavy loads.
